OUR PEOPLE

At Turner HR we pride ourselves on our professionalism and that’s why all of our consulting team are fully qualified and possess the full Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualification. As importantly, our consultants have real, practical experience of dealing with a range of HR issues in both public and private sector settings.

Each consultant is fully engaged in our Client Charter. They understand the needs of the businesses which they advise and are dedicated to their allocated client base. To find out more about our team and their areas of expertise, explore the employee profiles below.

Consultant Profile - Lucy Clemas – Founder and Director

My particular areas of expertise… business restructures, change management and internal communications.

I love working for Turner HR because… I’ve seen the company develop to the consulting practice it is today. I’ve seen first-hand, the difference we make to our clients’ businesses and I’m proud to have an experienced and professional consulting team which continues to provide an unrivalled level of bespoke Human Resources expertise to our clients.

My greatest HR achievement to date… has been supporting a client with all the HR aspects of a nationwide business reorganisation, including the acquisition of another business, to achieve the organisational structure and working practices needed to positively move the business forwards.

My frustration with HR is…when HR practitioners consistently fail to recognise the long term impact of short term decisions and ignore the business aims and objectives in delivering people management practices.

If I weren’t in HR…I would probably be a novelist.

Consultant Profile - Victoria Wakefield – Associate

My particular areas of expertise… making organisations more effective through management of their people, management and development of talent in businesses and recruitment decision making.

I love working for Turner HR because… we offer commercially driven HR support, partnering with businesses closely.  Every decision we make has an eye on the business outcome it will deliver. Our breadth of experience means our pragmatic, commercial judgement delivers real business value.

My greatest HR achievement to date… developing a set of functional capabilities with business leaders in a FTSE top 20 company, which was rolled out globally and provided a template for other functions to follow in developing their talent.

My frustration with HR is…when HR feels like it needs to constantly justify its existence.  Progressive organisations which see people as one of their key assets alongside their product or brands, customers and investors etc don't question the value of HR, they embrace it.

If I weren’t in HR…I would probably be an actress.
